Appendix: Vimeo API Setup

In order to use TubePress with Vimeo, you are required to register and provide to TubePress a "consumer key" and "consumer secret." This is a one-time setup that is required by Vimeo. If you'd like the gory details behind the reasons for this, please read this blog post. Here's what you need to do…

  1. Log in to Vimeo. You'll need to create a Vimeo account if you don't already have one.
  2. Click here to register a new key and secret. Here's a sample registration form that's filled out (click to enlarge)
  3. Make a note of your “consumer key” and your “consumer secret”. Here’s a sample of what they look like (click to enlarge)

The final step is to provide the key and secret to TubePress. The procedure for this will vary based on whether you're using TubePress inside a WordPress environment or not.

WordPress

You simply need to enter your key and secret via the TubePress options page at WP Admin > Settings > TubePress > Provider Feed. Don't forget to click "Save."

Standalone PHP

In standalone PHP, you'll have to provide the key and secret via the vimeoKey and vimeoSecret shortcode attributes in TubePress. You can pass these into the tubepressGallery function as you would any other shortcode attribute. e.g.
